We wanted to reinterpret some of the most iconic paintings in our culture to adapt them to the new reality we had to live with during the COVID-19 lockdown. The project sought to insert this new reality into images that are etched in all our memories. In this way, we wanted to help generate a collective awareness that would protect us all from the virus.
Velázquez, Murillo, Julio Romero de Torres, and even Picasso have seen some of their works modified to adapt to our new reality. We wanted to pay tribute to several of our most illustrious artists, always with the utmost respect for the works and their authors, all of whom are leading exponents of universal culture and painting.
This was the small contribution that POA Estudio made to the situation. We are convinced that the epidemic will pass and even Infanta Margarita will be able to take off her mask.
